Media reacts to South Carolina’s upset win over Auburn

It was a rough day to say the least for Bo Nix and the Auburn Tigers. Nix threw three interceptions in a 30-22 loss to South Carolina that dropped the Tigers to 2-2 and gave the Gamecocks their second straight win to improve to .500.
It wasn’t a layup by any means for South Carolina. It trailed 16-7 early on in the game, but outscored the Tigers 23-6 the rest of the way.
“South Carolina is coming off a very impressive road win in our league,” Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn said Tuesday. “When you look at them they have six returning starters on offense and defense. What stands out to me about their defense is they one of the top in the country in total defense and third in our league. On third downs they are first in the league, so that will present some challenges.”
The Gamecocks certainly presented challenges. After a slow start, the offense woke up in a big way as Nix continued to struggle, and the media had plenty to say about it.
