    Happy birthday, Mighty Max Weinberg.

The beat keeper of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and TV star, turned 70 on Tuesday, April 13. Like most of the members of the band, he’s a Jersey guy, born in Newark and raised in Maplewood.

He and his wife Becky Weinberg, whom he met at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, have two children: Ali Rogin, a reporter for PBS’ “Newshour,” and Jay Weinberg, drummer for the hard rock band Slipknot.

“Happy 70th Birthday to the greatest man I’ve ever known, the best Dad I could have ever wished for, and the best drummer on Earth,” said Jay on his social media. “I love you @mightymaxweinberg!”
