Max Duggan throws absurd TD vs. Michigan, passes Andy Dalton on all-time TCU leaderboard

In his first College Football Playoff appearance vs. Michigan, TCU QB Max Duggan stayed calm under pressure.

In the second quarter, Duggan rolled to his right and tossed a 6-yard touchdown to wide receiver Taye Barber, giving him his 72nd career passing touchdown. With the score, Duggan passed Horned Frog legend Andy Dalton for second on TCU’s all-time passing touchdown leaderboard.

Trevone Boykin ranks first with 86 career passing touchdowns as a Frog. It’s unlikely Duggan will break his record, but there’s another one in his reach. Duggan is two passing touchdowns away from tying Boykin’s single-season record of 33.

The Duggan score extended the Frog first-half lead to 21-3 before Michigan tacked on another field goal, giving TCU a 21-6 lead at halftime. The Frogs, who deferred to start the game, are on a roll.

If there’s one thing about Duggan, he finds a way. In the first half, Duggan completed 7-16 passes but made timely plays to power the Frog offense, including a touchdown on his legs.
