The cat is finally out of the bag. After much anticipation and discussion on Twitter, MAX has finally revealed Suga of BTS (real name Min Yoongi) as one of his collaborators on his upcoming album, Colour Vision, set to be released on September 18.

ARMYs on Twitter have been discussing another MAX/Suga collab for a while, and fruitfully. The pair first made the collab rumor mill start when they were spotted together at a Los Angeles Lakers game back in February. After many teasers online, their first joint venture came in late May with the release of Suga’s sophomore solo mixtape, Agust D’s D-2. MAX featured on the blazing “Burn It.”

In MAX’s upcoming album, the Daegu wordsmith will appear on the sixth track, titled “Blueberry Eyes,” with seemingly an entire verse of his own in Korean — per a preview shared on Apple Music (which fans have already started to translate).

In the lead up to the confirmation of “Blueberry Eyes,” MAX dished about his friendship with the Korean artist on an AMA on Reddit. “ARMY has been so kind and welcoming to me so when i was asked to do this and answer some of your questions I was of course delighted to accept the invitation,” he posted in his signature all caps.

In his Q&A session, MAX revealed his collaborations with Suga stemmed from the “admiration for each other’s work,” as most his collabs do. “With Yoongi the recording process was all online in [separate] cities but it was super easy going back and forth on what he wanted me to try differently, singing the song in different keys, adjusting lyrics/ harmonies, etc,” MAX recounted of the collab process. “He’s just real. He’s kind and polite. Welcoming. Never faking a smile or conversation. Passionate about what he does. He’s [a] good guy,” he said in another post. On July 23, just before the tracklist was officially unveiled, MAX even posted a small teaser to his social media eating blueberries.

MAX will release the next single off the album, “Working For The Weekend,” on August 14. Check out the full tracklist for MAX’s Colour Vision below:
