Matthew Perry wishes Keanu Reeves died instead of Heath Ledger and other greats

Keanu #Keanu

Matthew Perry’s new memoir called ‘Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing’ is now available to pre order and it releases on Nov. 1. There are already small passages from the book that are quite alarming for movies fans. Apparently, the ‘Friends’ actor preferred if it was Keanu Reeves who died instead of many different great actors who perished. In his attempt to attck drug addiction, he also showed his true colors.

Perhaps you thought it was impossible for anybody to hate Keanu Reeves, the actor who has always shown his humanity and good will in public. That same guy, is apparently hated by Matthew Perry. Wishing the death of others speaks volumes of the person who does it. Saying you wish actors like River Phoenix, Heath Ledger or Chris Farley were still alive is great. But wishing another person took their place is not going to get a lot of people to buy your book. It is unclear if Perry has previous beef with Keanu but it appears as if he did.

Here’s what he wrote in his memoir: “The list of geniuses who were ahead of their time is too long to detail here – suffice to say, near the top of any such list should be my costar in ‘A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon,’ River Phoenix. River was a beautiful man, inside and out – too beautiful for this world, it turned out. It always seems to be the really talented guys who go down.

“Why is it that the original thinkers like River Phoenix and Heath Ledger die, but Keanu Reeves still walks among us? River was a better actor than me; I was funnier. But I certainly held my own in our scenes – no small feat, when I look back decades later. His disease had progressed faster than mine had. (Plus, I had a healthy fear of the word ‘heroin,’ a fear we did not share).”

As it was expected, countless of Keanu Reeves fans jumped against Matthew Perry’s ill wishes and they really went at his yugular. We are certain that if we asked Reeves, he would just laugh it off and not give Perry the time of day. But then again, Matthew is a comedian and this could be just a misunderstood joke. If it was, we are all missing the punchline.
