Matt Ryan is so washed-up, the Colts’ offense had a historically inept start vs. the Steelers

The Indianapolis Colts had a historically hard time getting the passing game going on Monday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Led by potential Hall of Fame quarterback and former league MVP Matt Ryan, the Colts haven’t quite gotten out of Matty Ice what he gave the Atlanta Falcons for 14 seasons: a robust passing attack.

While a lot of that could be contributed to Indy’s wildly disappointing offensive line and the coaching upheaval, Ryan is also 37 and might be winding down what’s been a prolific career.

Ryan and the Colts struggled so bad during the game to get a pass off that it didn’t happen until midway though the second quarter.

Well, that’s not what the Colts want. The team didn’t score a touchdown against Pittsburgh during the first half, only netting a lone field goal.

It’s a tough way for Ryan’s career to end if this is really his last stanza in the NFL.

The Colts have cratered after entering the season with such high expectations, with the only notable accomplishment they’ve achieved recently the bizarre hire of interim coach Jeff Saturday.

While Ryan’s glory days might sadly be frozen in the past, the Colts will hope for warmer weather in the seasons ahead.
