I’m A Celeb: Matt Hancock grilled by Ant and Dec
Matt Hancock has snubbed Good Morning Britain – less than 12 hours after he placed third on I’m A Celebrity.
The Tory MP came third on the ITV jungle show, with Hollyoaks star Owen Warner and Lioness Jill Scott beating him by placing second and first respectively. He was met by his former aide and girlfriend Gina Coladangelo on the bridge as the pair embraced in a cringe moment as he told her how much he loved her whilst the fireworks went off around them.
Normally, the three finalists appear one by one on ITV daytime including Good Morning Britain but Susanna Reid confirmed this morning that Mr Hancock has chosen not to appear on the show show today following the end of I’m A Celebrity.

A source has confirmed to The Mirror that Mr Hancock will appear on daytime TV this week – but not until his return to the UK. All the finalists usually appear on ITV daytime the following day after the final but Hancock won’t be on today’s edition of the show.
A show source told The Mirror: “Matt Hancock will appear on ITV daytime but only once he is back in the UK later on this week.”
Mr Hancock narrowly missed out on a place in the final, beating the likes of Boy George, Mike Tindall and Chris Moyles to make it to the top three. All the campmates returned to the camp ahead of Jill’s crowning last night.

In his exit interview with the show’s host Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, Matt insisted he had every right to go on the show and said he wanted to “show what he was like as a person” as he said people had “preconceived ideas” of him.
He added: “Politicians don’t come across as human enough and I wanted to show who I am.” Matt also admitted he was nervous to head into the jungle – but praisedSeann Walshfor his “wonderful” welcome. He was also happy the comedian laughed at all his jokes.
“People think they know me, but they only know me from the TV and the media,” he told the presenting duo.

Matt admitted he was expecting the “grilling” from campmates – but said some of the chats were very “emotional”. He said there was no “agro” just discussions, as the campmates seemed to “draw a line” between him as a politician and him as a person.
Whilst Mr Hancock won’t appear on Good Morning Britain today, Susanna confirmed Jill Scott, Owen Warner and Mike Tindall will all be on the show. Mr Hancock will make his appearance on ITV daytime later this week.
