CLEMSON, S.C. – The No. 46 ranked Clemson Tigers (9-5, 1-3 ACC) will travel to Durham at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 8, to take on No. 21 Duke (8-4, 2-2 ACC). The Tigers will then head to Chapel Hill on Saturday to take on the No. 5 ranked Tar Heels (11-2, 4-0 ACC) at 2 p.m.
“We are looking forward to the challenge of another road ACC weekend,” head coach Boomer Saia said. “Duke and UNC are very storied programs, and we will have to earn all four points in each match to come away with a win. We built momentum this last weekend, going 2-1, and we are looking to take that momentum into this weekend!”
This will be the 59th meeting between the Tigers and Blue Devils, with Duke leading 37-21. Against the Tar Heels, this will be the 65th matchup for the two programs, with Clemson leading 38-26.
The Tigers are coming off a 2-1 weekend. Clemson beat their first ACC opponent, Virginia Tech, 4-3 after a hard-fought duel. Jenna Thompson delivered the win on Court 4 by defeating her opponent 7-5, 6-4.
