MasterChef contestant Therese completely loses her cool fangirling over Reynold Poernomo
Therese #Therese
Sunday night’s episode of MasterChef features the return of three fan favourites from last year’s all-stars series — Callum Hann, Poh Ling and Reynold Poernomo.
The trio were a huge hit with audiences and judges last year but it’s Reynold, who finished third in last year’s series, who makes the biggest impact.
In a preview shared to news.com.au, judge Melissa Leong brings Reynold over to Therese’s bench to introduce the pair and it’s clear Therese is a huge fan.
“Therese, I’d like to introduce you to who I believe is your idol, Reynold,” Melissa says.
Straight off the bat, Therese isn’t okay.
“Oh my god, hello …” she begins, before a manic laugh kicks in.
“I’ve been telling Reynold the things you’ve achieved in this kitchen so far, very very impressive,” Melissa explains. “What are you cooking today for Reynold?!”
Therese can’t finish her sentence without laughing nervously and fanning her face.
“I’m blushing right now,” she admits.
Collecting herself, she explains what she will be cooking for Reynold.
“Today I am going to make an apple. In the centre it’s going to have a miso apple compote, enrobed in a vanilla mousse, and it’s going to sit on top of a tuile nest.”
Sounds like a very Reynold inspired dish.
Reynold and Therese exchange a few words about her dish before he walks away, leaving Therese in a puddle of fangirl nerves.
“I’m fangirling,” she says, before ducking beneath her bench with her hand over her head. “I’m so embarrassing.”
Therese goes on to explain her dish, which sounds like it will definitely be a winner if it turns out how she intends it to.
To see this, head to Channel 10 at 7:30pm on Sunday.
