Steelers center Mason Cole was released Friday, the team announced.The move saves the Steelers around $5 million in salary cap space, but it also makes the center position a need.Cole signed with Pittsburgh in March 2022. He started all 17 regular-season games the past two seasons, as well as the wild-card playoff game at Buffalo in January.The 27-year-old Cole was a third-round draft pick by Arizona in 2018. He spent three seasons with the Cardinals and one with the Minnesota Vikings before joining the Steelers.
