Eagle-eyed Marvel fans have spotted an error with Tony Stark’s moustache in Avengers: Infinity War.
The 2018 film saw the Avengers team up to quell the threat of Thanos, with the heroes struggling as the big-bad sought to collect all the Infinity Stones.
With Iron Man leading the team, several scenes involved close-ups of Stark’s face as he donned the suit, but fans on Reddit noticed a glaring error in the continuity of the scenes – the changing length of Robert Downey Jr’s facial hair.

“No, that’s just Thanos’ aura. His baldness is so intimidating people close by begin rapidly losing hair,” quipped one fan who noticed the error, with another joking: “There are no continuity errors, only unacknowledged side effects of the time and/or reality stones.”
Another fan remarked on the famous airbrushing of Henry Cavill’s moustache in Justice League, writing: “They just looked at Cavill in Justice League and thought ‘yeah, probs best to just leave it alone tbh.’”
Whilst the Avengers made their bow in Endgame, there has been talk of Marvel bosses looking to get the crew back together in the near future, though Kevin Feige recently dampened the speculation.
“We did not discuss that at the retreat, [that] is the truth,” he said. “We’re doing a project with Scarlett [Johansson], I love Robert [Downey Jr], he’s a part of the family, but in terms of returning we’ll have to see.”

Chris Evans, who played Steve Rogers/Captain America in the series, also commented on the reports, but echoed Feige’s sentiments in that nothing concrete was planned, saying: “You know, I always see those reports too, and it’s news to me.
“Every couple of months, someone says that they’re getting Downey, [Chris] Hemsworth and Johansson back. No one’s spoken to me about it. And look, I would never say never, but I’m very protective. It’s a very precious role to me, so it would have to be just right.”
All four Avengers movies are streaming on Disney+.
