Married At First Sight Australia viewers are cringing at this part of Melinda and Layton’s wedding

As one door closes, another one opens. Just as we wave goodbye to winter Love Island, we say hello to Married At First Sight Australia season 10, which dropped on E4 earlier this month. Last night’s episode [13th March] saw Melinda and Layton walk down the aisle, and viewers can’t stop cringing at this one part of their wedding.

In case you need a reminder, MAFSA sees Australian singles matched by a panel of experts with someone who they meet for the first time on their wedding day. While we’ve already watched a handful of couples tie the knot, Melinda, a CEO of a fashion and beauty firm, and Layton, a CEO of a firm making pet medications, are the latest pair to meet and marry.

But, er, as viewers saw last night, it wasn’t all plain sailing on the big day. In fact, Melinda didn’t appear to be a fan of Layton at all, telling the camera, “he may be punching just a little!”

She added, “I’d have swiped left. I’m a nine and a half, on a bad day!”

Eek. The comment left fans cringing on social media. As one fan wrote, “Wow, ‘punching, I’m a 9 and a half.’ erm Melinda maybe marry your reflection he might be lovely and just what you need #mafs #mafsau #mafsaunz.”

Someone else put, “‘I’d swipe left’? If I were Layton, I wouldn’t even wait until final vows before giving Melinda this energy… #MAFSAU” and another added, ” No wonder she’s been single for so long! Run for the hills Layton.”
