The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Marlo Hampton has shared the sad news that her nephew Quentin has passed away.

“Rest in Peace to my nephew Quentin a.k.a. Memphis Mack, taken from us too soon,” Marlo shared on Instagram in 2020. “I never imagined I would be saying goodbye to another family member so soon. He was the life of the party, he always kept it real, we had our moments, because neither one of us knew how to hold our slick tongues, But I Loved my nephew dearly. He was a great cook, son, brother, friend, cousin, grandson and nephew. Quentin we will miss you dearly.”

Marlo is a proud aunt who took on the role of guardian to two of her younger nephews, Michael and William. Marlo, along with the two, attended a funeral for Quentin.

“We laid my nephew Quentin a.k.a. Memphis Mack to rest. We will miss him so so much. Thank you to all my family and friends for the calls, texts, flowers and cards, I appreciate you,” she wrote after attending the memorial for her relative. She did not reveal how Quentin passed.

Marlo also has a 1-year-old nephew named Arlo Curtis, who is named after her brother, Curtis, who passed away in 2019.

Earlier this summer Marlo opened up about her life as a full-time guardian to Michael and William and how much she values the role after releasing an emotional PSA for the Black Lives Matter movement, which features her nephews.

“Becoming a full-time parent to two young black boys has given me a new outlook on life. I realize now more than ever that I need to use my voice to take action against the repeated acts of racism and violence on African American men and women. Black lives matter and it is my duty to work to improve human rights so that my boys and our children can live in a better world,” Marlo said in a statement to The Daily Dish at the time. “It was important for me to reach out and involve my sisters at Bravo, we text and DM about gossip and fashion all the time, but this was about unifying our voices for a cause that is bigger than us!”
