Marley Biyendolo has been crowned the winner of Big Brother after 63 days in the house, during Tuesday night’s live finale episode.

The 27-year-old basketball player earned the most votes by the Australian public, ahead of jewellery designer Sarah Jane Adams and flight attendant Christina Podolyan.

Marley takes home the $250,000 cash prize, which he wants to spend looking after his beloved father.

Marley had tears in his eyes as Sonia Kruger announced he’d won out of the three finalists, learning the news alongside his doting dad and brother.

‘I don’t know how to describe this feeling,’ Marley, who tragically lost his mother to cancer four years ago, said. ‘I can see mum up there now.

‘[Winning] was my goal from the start of this show. I wanted to come in here and I wanted to make it to the end.’

He then confirmed he was going to spend the quarter of a million dollars ‘taking care’ of his dad, saying: ‘To be able to take care of him – that’s everything to me.

‘Whatever he needs, whatever he wants. We’re going to take care of dad and set him up for the rest of his life.’

Sonia had hosted the grand finale without a studio audience, due to Sydney being in a state of lockdown for two weeks amid the pandemic.

The only people on-set were the final three’s family and friends, and their former housemates – who celebrated on-stage when Marley’s name was announced as the winner.

Prior to being crowned champion, Marley had emotionally told viewers: ‘I just want to thank you guys truly from the bottom of my heart.
