Markel Insurance Molecomb Stakes report: Steel Bull justifies favouritism

Colin Keane was in the saddle ahead of his ride on Siskin in the Qatar Sussex Stakes and found the gaps at the right time to get Michael O’Callaghan’s charge rolling and reel in the leader close home.
Internationaldream (50/1) continued the fine run of Richard Fahey’s juveniles in third.
“He travelled very well and when I gave him a squeeze he picked up nicely. He was a good winner of his maiden, it looked like he won in a hack canter at Naas and he’s progressive,” the winning rider told ITV Racing.

O’Callaghan also owns a share of the winner and added: “He’s done it very, very well and Colin was as good as ever. We have a nice horse on our hands thank God.
“We had a little interest in him after winning his maiden but at the end of the day he had to go out and prove he could do something like this. We’ve been lucky at the breeze-ups and it looks like we’ve found another good one.”
