Earlier this month, Mark Wahlberg shared his transformation plans for his role in upcoming movie Father Stu, for which the actor plans to gain 30 lbs in just six weeks.

Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel, Wahlberg said he planned to undergo the unenviable task by eating a “20-piece chicken nugget and 20-piece hot wings from Kentucky Fried Chicken with a six-pack of beer”.

A few weeks later—and, bear in mind, with the help of prosthetics—we’re starting to see the results of Wahlberg’s diligent commitment to weight-gain after paparazzi pictures of the 49-year-old leaked online.

The images, which quickly made their way on Twitter, show a shaven-headed Wahlberg on the Father Stu set in Los Angeles, a stark contrast to the actor’s usual physique. As part of his efforts to portray a former heavyweight boxer turned priest, Wahlberg is taking on the transformation seriously, but his appetite is getting the better of him. “I’m like, ‘Dude, I’ve been on such a regimen for so long, I just want to eat everything in sight.’ I want to go to bakeries, I want to go to Denny’s, I want to get pancakes. I want to get everything that I could possibly get my hands on.”

Previously, Wahlberg showed off his Father Stu transformation on Instagram, captioning the image “From left photo 3 weeks ago to this, now.”

Wahlberg posts regular updates of his transformation on IG–in a recent video, he still has his abs when flexing, but relaxes his core muscles to show his progress. “I’m up about 20,” he captioned the post. “I’m going up another 20. Yes, it’s for a role.”

“We meet with a team of doctors who do his bloodwork and a nutritionist who gives us a full breakdown of what his body needs, what his body’s lacking and basically come up with a meal plan accordingly. We go to a specialist every two weeks to see where we’re at and adjust things,” Wahlberg’s personal chef, Lawrence Duran, said to E! News.

“It’s not easy for anyone to take in that much food even though we’re breaking it up into smaller meals. He’s eating about every three hours. We do good carbohydrates, dark green vegetables, and then, just switch up the protein throughout the day and, at least, a dozen eggs a day. “

Needless to say, the internet was flabbergasted at the results:
