Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews injured his ankle during the first quarter of the team’s NFL Week 11 Thursday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium.
Andrews went to the locker room after leaving the team’s medical tent on the sideline. The Ravens initially announced that Andrews was questionable to return, but later declared him out.
Prime Video’s Kaylee Hartung reported during the broadcast that Andrews used crutches on his way to the X-ray room.
Andrews was tackled by Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson after catching a pass from Lamar Jackson. He pointed to his helmet as the Ravens’ training staff rushed onto the field.
Jackson was injured later in the quarter on a tackle by Wilson.
“This might be more than we think. Let’s hope not,” Prime Video play-by-play announcer Al Michaels said during the broadcast. “This is what they’re trying to get out of the league, the hip-drop tackle.”
Andrews had two catches for 23 yards before leaving the game.
