Mariah the Scientist Says She’ll Wait For Young Thug’s Release Because “He’s The One”

Mariah The Scientis shared some new details about her current relationship with Young Thug. On Thursday’s (Oct. 26) episode of Way Up With Angela Yee, the Atlanta songstress opened up about how Thugger being in jail brought them closer together and strengthened their bond.
“I think in the beginning I was so sensitive about it. I was so emotional, I was crying all the time,” Mariah began. “It was like, you can’t be crying when you got a man in jail because it’s going to make him sad. So you can’t be acting like that.”
She also shared that she goes to see him once a week and makes sure to arrange her week around the visit. When asked how often the couple talks to each other, she replied, “Everyday, all day.” Check out the full interview below.
“It’s almost like jail solidified our relationship,” she continued. “I’m willing to wait it out because I feel like he’s the one. If I didn’t really see that in him, I probably wouldn’t.”
The “Spread Thin” artist then concluded by revealing how Thugger gave her a chance to end things, but she remained committed. “In the beginning he was like, ‘I don’t know how long this is going to take so if you just want to go on.’ And I was like, ‘I’m not going to do that,’” she said.
The 26-year-old singer is currently on a press run for the release of her latest album, To Be Eaten Alive. The offering made landfall on Oct. 27, 2023, and was led by the single “From A Woman,” a female’s perspective to Young Thug’s “From A Man.” The LP boasts guest appearances from Vory, 21 Savage, and Thug.
