Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are all thought to have shown interest in the Spanish international, who has been successful in Madrid.
However, despite him having just one year left on his deal with the reigning European champions, Asensio has revealed he would be ‘very happy’ to remain at the club.
Speaking to Radio Marca, the 26-year-old said: “There is talk that I am changing Real Madrid’s mind. But I have always tried to give the best that I have inside and then it will be known.
“The one who decides, too, is the club, it does not only depend on me. After the World Cup, we’ll both make a decision. What if I want to renew?
“Hopefully it can happen and I’ll be very happy at Real Madrid for many years, hopefully everything will be given to stay for 10 more years.”
United could be set to dip into the transfer market following the news that Cristiano Ronaldo has left the club by mutual consent.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner hit the headlines in recent weeks following his explosive interview with TalkTV host Piers Morgan, in which he criticised the club and manager Erik ten Hag.
talkSPORT also understands that Ronaldo will leave Old Trafford with a minimal payoff.
He is now a free agent and could therefore be on his way to another club in the January transfer window, with the likes of Chelsea and former side Sporting Lisbon being linked with a transfer.
It remains to be seen if United will make a move for another attacker in the next window, especially amid the news that the Glazers are willing to sell the club.
However, previous target Asensio may not be a feasible option for them should they wish to sign reinforcements as he looks to commit his future to Madrid.
