Manchester United welcome Crystal Palace to Old Trafford tonight in the first match of an important double header in two different competitions between the two clubs (8pm).

Starting off with a Carabao Cup third round tie, those two teams will also lock horns in the Premier League at the same venue on Saturday afternoon (3pm). It comes after United got back to winning ways in their latest match vs Burnley when Bruno Fernandes settled the scores with a Robin van Persie-like volley.

Without nine players through injury for the Burnley match, Erik ten Hag and United have been handed a selection boost for their double header against Crystal Palace with Harry Maguire and Mason Mount set to feature. Raphael Varane and Sofyan Amrabat should also step up their respective recoveries.

With one eye on the January window, meanwhile, United continue to be linked with mid-season moves, as Donny van de Beek reportedly attracts interest from Spanish side Villarreal. United have also been credited with a revived interest in Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot – whose contract with the Italian giants expires next summer.
