Manchester United agree deal to sign Dutch left back Tyrell Malacia for up to £15m

Tyrell Malacia could become the first signing of Erik ten Hag’s reign after Feyenoord accepted Manchester United’s bid worth up to £14.7 million for the Holland left back.

United are also hoping to agree a deal for his international team-mate Frenkie de Jong, who is the club’s top target this summer.

Frank Arnesen, the Feyenoord sporting director, confirmed that United had made a late bid for Malacia, who is also considering an offer from Lyon. United’s bid is an initial €15 million (£13 million) plus €2 million (£1.7m) in add-ons.

“The agreement is there [with United],” Arnesen told the Feyenoord website 1908.nl. “We are now waiting for Tyrell. If he says yes, then a transfer to Manchester United is imminent.”
