Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour attended his first proper game in 13 years on Saturday night.

Mansour, who is the vice-president of the United Arab Emirates, had not been seen at a competitive City match since visiting the Etihad Stadium to witness a 3-0 win over Liverpool in August 2010.

Since then, he had only seen his team live in two exhibition games in Abu Dhabi.

But Mansour flew to Istanbul by private jet to see City make history by beating Inter Milan 1-0 in Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final.

A 68th-minute strike by Spanish midfielder Rodri saw City complete a famous treble by adding European glory to their earlier domestic triumphs in the Premier League and FA Cup.

Mansour wore a blue and white City scarf as he sat in the executive seating area at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium close to UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin.

City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak was also at the final.
