Manchester United have made an impressive start to their third pre-season friendly against Crystal Palace and lead 1-0 thanks to Anthony Martial’s effort.
The Red Devils began the brighter of the two sides and came close early on through Martial, whose effort was well kept out by Jack Butland. However, the Palace shot-stopper was forced to come off after making the save with the England international appearing to pick up a finger injury.
Erik ten Hag’s side continued to push for an opener and managed to find the breakthrough in the 17th minute through Martial. Dalot’s cross found the Frenchman in space at the far post, and he took one tough before drilling into the back of net for his third goal in three matches.
