Man Utd target Sofyan Amrabat makes instant decision as Nottingham Forest ‘offer accepted’

Manchester United target Sofyan Amrabat has instantly turned down a transfer to Nottingham Forest after a £17million deal with Fiorentina was reportedly agreed, it has been claimed. Amrabat is United’s top target heading into the final few days of the transfer window but they have competition from Premier League rivals.
United are desperate to add strength to their midfield before Friday’s 11pm deadline. Amrabat is reportedly their priority, although the Red Devils could be forced to sign the 27-year-old on loan due to Financial Fair Play constraints.
However, Erik ten Hag seemingly faces competition from Nottingham Forest in the race to sign Amrabat. Nottingham Forest are reported to have agreed a deal with Fiorentina to sign the Moroccan.
It is claimed that the two clubs shook on a £17million proposal by the Midlands outfit. Amrabat was then given the freedom to decide whether he wanted the move.
According to Sport Italia, Amrabat ‘instantly’ rejected the move, though. The report insists that the former Club Brugge midfielder only wants to join United this summer, ruling out other interested clubs.
Amrabat has been left out of Fiorentina’s team for the start of the season in a bid to help him find a new club. He rose to prominence with his excellent performances for Morocco at the World Cup in Qatar last year.
United are considered the frontrunners for his signature. But they face a race against time to complete a transfer before 11pm on Friday.
