Sancho was dropped from the United squad that lost at Arsenal earlier this month with Ten Hag revealing in his post-match press conference that the player’s performance levels in training were not up to scratch.

In a now-deleted social media post, Sancho hit back at his manager and insisted the claims are ‘untrue’ and that he is being made a ‘scapegoat’.

The former Borussia Dortmund winger has refused to apologise for his comments and has been ordered to train alone at Carrington until the matter is resolved.

According to the Daily Mirror, Sancho has now been banned from all of United’s first-team facilities – including the team’s dining room – and he is being forced to eat his meals with the club’s academy players.

They also claim that Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw have all urged Sancho to apologise to the Dutchman while The Times report that the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has offered to step in and help resolve the issue.

But the fall-out does not appear to be reaching a resolution and news of his exile from all first-team facilities is the latest indication that he could leave in January.

It is believed that Sancho has been late for training on several occasions since the incident.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are keeping an eye on the Sancho situation and will consider a loan move in January if he remains an outcast at Old Trafford.

His former club Dortmund are also reportedly plotting a potential loan move for the 23-year-old Englishman.
