The 32-year-old had started the match, after being hooked at half-time during his side’s 2-1 win at Luton last week.

He was eventually substituted with neither side having yet broken the deadlock.

While Casemiro had to be replaced, Reed was able to continue.

At half-time he was spotted swapping shirts with compatriot Rodrigo Muniz.

At the same time as the former Real Madrid star was replaced, Omari Forson, who was making his first start, was also withdrawn.

The 19-year-old, who had come in for the injured Rasmus Hojlund, was subbed for Christian Eriksen.

Shortly after the double substitution, Man Utd went 1-0 down.

Erik ten Hag’s side were done by a 66th minute corner.

After failing to clear, the ball fell to Fulham defender Calvin Bassey.

The Nigerian international thumped the ball into the back of the net with his right foot, sending the travelling supporters into raptures.

Harry Maguire thought he’d spared his side’s blushes by prodding home an 89th minute equaliser after Bruno Fernandes’ shot was parried.

But Alex Iwobi broke United hearts seven minutes into stoppage time, producing a fantastic finish after being teed up by Adama Traore following a lung-busting run.

Man Utd’s new partial owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly planning a huge summer clearout – with 11 players at risk.

Casemiro is reportedly among those who could be sold, alongside fellow veterans Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire.

United will consider bids for the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Scott McTominay, Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen.

While Donny van de Beek, Jadon Sancho, Facundo Pellistri and Brandon Williams, all currently out on loan, will be made available.

Anthony Martial will not be offered a new contract and is likely to become a free agent.
