Antony, 23, began his career in Sao Paulo in his native Brazil before signing for Ajax in 2020.
For an upcoming two-part film entitled “It All Starts With a Dream”, Antony can be seen in tears as he recalls his early life in what appears to be his old neighbourhood.
He has spoken before about growing up in an area of Sao Paulo known as Inferninho — “little hell”, where drug dealing and murders were rife.
In the 433 film presented by Puma, the Brazil international described himself as: “A boy who struggled a lot.
“A boy who went through a lot of hardship.”
Talking about his hometown, he added through tears: “I will carry this place here, for the rest of my life.”
In the short trailer, he can also be seen visiting local children, as well as performing his trademark spin trick.
Antony performed a showboating double-spin in a Europa League match against FC Sheriff last season, landing him in hot water.
The piece of skill occurred in the 38th minute, with manager Erik ten Hag hooking him at half-time.
