MANCHESTER UNITED have had the LEAST amount of money invested by their owners out of all 20 Premier League clubs, with Arsenal also suffering.

The Old Trafford side are constantly top, or at least near the top, of world football’s rich list.

But things appear to be taking a turn for the worse, with a worrying trend emerging since the start of the 2014-15 season.

In the span between 2014 and the end of the 2018-19 season, Man Utd have had the least amount of investment from the Glazers of any other club in the top-flight.

In fact, United have actually seen a staggering £89million taken OUT of the club, according to Swiss Ramble.

For context, just SIX other clubs have seen a net cash outflow in that five-season period.

Of those clubs, just one has seen more than £18m taken out, making the Glazers’ £89m haul all the more galling for United fans.

At the top of the table, Chelsea have seen an incredible £440m injected into the club by generous Roman Abramovich.

Everton sit second with a cool £299m poured into the club, with Aston Villa (£193m), Brighton (£186m) and Fulham (£160m) all receiving MORE than £150m from their owners.

Rivals Manchester City (£142m) and Wolves (£131m) have been given over £100m by their respective owners.

Even Liverpool (£75m), Leeds (£54m), Crystal Palace (£45m) , Sheffield United (£17m) and Southampton (£1m) all also having money to spend from their owners.

Arsenal have received absolutely nothing from Stan Kroenke.

But to the American’s credit, he also hasn’t taken anything OUT of the club.

Seven teams have seen money taken back by their owners, with Burnley (-£4m), West Brom (-£5m) and Leicester (-£6m) all seeing small amounts of cash taken back.

West Ham (-£11m), Newcastle (-£18m) and Tottenham (-£40m) have all seen some money taken back by their owners.

But the Glazers have really taken Man Utd to the cleaners by taking £89m out of the club.

Of course, United are arguably the most-marketable club in the world and rake in billions in merchandising, sponsorship and partnerships with companies across the globe.

Even with the Glazers pocketing £89m from the club, United are still easily one of the world’s wealthiest clubs.

And, as the owners, the Glazers are allowed to do as they wish regarding the running of the club – particularly financially, with football becoming more and more of a business.

However, there are concerns amongst fans regarding the club’s debt, which now stands at £429m.

Even if that £89m was poured back in to the club, United would be £340m in the red.

But every penny helps and United fans will surely question why the Glazers have taken money out the club despite their spiralling debt.
