Man Utd fans lose patience with Antony after Brazilian’s ‘useless’ rainbow flick attempt against Bournemouth

MANCHESTER UNITED fans took aim at Antony after his “stupid” rainbow flick attempt during their clash with Bournemouth.

The Brazilian, 23, tried to perform the audacious trick during the first half of the Premier League clash on the South Coast.

But it did not come off as he lost possession for Erik ten Hag’s side at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

And the embarrassing moment led to Red Devils supporters slamming him on social media.

One said: “What was that stupid flick Antony tried there?”

Another added: “What useless skill did Antony try there?😂😂”

A third replied: “Are my eyes deceiving me or did Antony try a rainbow flick?”

And a fourth responded: “Antony has something seriously wrong with his brain.

“Why are you doing rainbow flicks and back heels when you can’t even pass a ball consistently?”

Antony has registered 10 goals and five assists in 46 appearances this season.

His performances have divided opinion amongst the Man Utd faithful.

And club legend Peter Schmeichel raged at the South American winger after he lashed out at Alexis Mac Allister during Man Utd’s loss to Brighton earlier this month.

He told Premier League Productions: “I don’t like the reaction, this is crazy and he is a lucky, lucky boy staying on the pitch because that’s a red card, there’s no doubt about it.

“You cannot do that. And then he reacts like this. You cannot do that as a Man Utd player you have to behave yourself. This is revenge you don’t do that, you cannot do that in a game of football.

“[Erik] Ten Hag is very disappointed and that even more so than the game being lost with one of his players reacting like that.”
