Man pleads guilty in fatal shooting of Langford mother

Anthony Dheensaw has pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder of Angela Dalman and to the attempted murder of Derrick Oke on March 6, 2020.
A 37-year-old man has pleaded guilty to shooting a Langford mother two years ago.
On Friday, Anthony Dheensaw pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder of Angela Dalman and to the attempted murder of Derrick Oke on March 6, 2020. Dheensaw appeared in B.C. Supreme Court by video from the Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Centre.
He was scheduled to have a five-week trial beginning Aug. 2. It is not known when his sentencing will take place.
At the time of Dalman’s killing, West Shore RCMP said a disturbance broke out at a gathering on Arncote Avenue near Peatt Road. When officers arrived, they found Dalman had been shot. She died of her injuries hours later.
Dalman is survived by a teenage son.
