Man found dead with extensive burns in Phoenix house fire

A man was killed in a house fire on Thursday afternoon in Phoenix, police said.
The Phoenix police and fire departments responded to the house near 44th Avenue and Sheridan Street about 12:45 p.m., according to police spokesperson Sgt. Maggie Cox.
The man was found dead inside the home with “extensive burns to his body,” Cox said.

According to Cox, foul play is not suspected.
No further details were given about the man who was found dead or what led to the fire.
The investigation is ongoing.
