Ederson: Made a decent save in the first half from Barnes and then a terrific one from a rasping Tielemans drive. 8
Stones: Had Guardiola nervous whenever Barnes ran at him but managed to survive, and helped Rodri out. 7
Akanji: Some decent passing through the lines before going off as first substitute. 7
Laporte: A smooth performance working well with Cancelo to keep Leicester at bay. 7

Cancelo: Much improved on midweek, defensively sound and providing pace for the City attack. 7
Rodri: A few sloppy passes early on that allowed Leicester to break, before tightening up. 7
Gundogan: Improved from a quiet start as he gradually imposed himself on the game. 6
De Bruyne: Looked like City’s biggest threat from the first whistle and scored the crucial goal. 8
Bernardo: Linked up well with De Bruyne and tested Ward, although decision-making could have been better. 7
Grealish: Another frustrating afternoon where he didn’t see much of the ball and wasn’t able to do much with it when it did find him. 5
Alvarez: One shot saved where he looked to be harshly flagged offside but zero goal threat otherwise. 5
