Foden started the party on eight minutes, firing with a no-look shot into the top corner to round off a sweeping City move.
Haaland had to wait until 34 minutes before his header crossed the line, then added a second by latching on to Kevin de Bruyne’s inch-perfect pass.
Foden made it four before half-time, prompting some away supporters to leave the Etihad and head home.
Antony’s blast from range gave United a brief glimmer of hope ten minutes after the break before Haaland and then Foden completed their hat-tricks within nine minutes.
Sub Anthony Martial pulled another back by heading in a rebound with seven minutes to go.
And then he stuck a glorious penalty right into the postage stamp as the clock ticked into injury time after he was adjudged to have been fouled by Joao Cancelo.
