MAFS’ Adrian floors fans as he ‘channels Thomas’ and explodes at dinner party after split

Married At First Sight UK was full of dramatic scenes on Tuesday night as show favourites Adrian Sanderson and Thomas Hartley decided to split before an explosive dinner party.

During the latest episode, the contestants attended the final dinner party where they had to take part in the Honesty Box.

However, during the event, Thomas was left upset as he noted that he and Adrian “aren’t in love” after looking at how happy the other contestants are.

In a heartbreaking chat, Thomas decided to take Adrian outside where he told him: “In my mind last week when I wrote ‘leave’, it’s because it wasn’t going any further.

“I just wanted someone to love me and I wanted someone to be with me forever.

“I adore you, no matter what. You’ve got everything I’d ever want in a man just not that one thing that I need.”

To which Adrian pointed out: “I think I’ve worked my a**e off in this experiment to try and get to a position where we can absolutely communicate but I’m not ready to progress to that next stage, that sexual stage.”

Thomas, who agreed with Adrian, then pointed out that outside the experiment he would have already have been intimate with a partner and also noted the other couples had been intimate on the show.

He concluded: “I don’t feel like we can go to the final vows when we’ve got so much that we still need to work on. You mean the world to me. But just because we love each other, doesn’t mean we’re supposed to be together.”

Adrian was left heartbroken as he started crying, saying: “Whenever you felt vulnerable, I needed you to know that someone was there.

“I wanted you to know that someone would stick through. And I wanted you to know that someone would care and protect you.”

Thomas comforted Adrian, saying that he was “so f**king important” to him and that he is his “rock” as they hugged it out in emotional scenes.

The couple then decided to share the news to their fellow contestants at the dinner party with explosive results.

Adrian said: “Guys, is it alright if I grab everyone’s attention for a second? I would like to make a bit of an announcement that me and Thomas have just went outside and we’ve had a chat.

“After making a phenomenal journey, and after coming from hell, hell on earth with this chap and coming to the most amazing place where I actually adore this man and everything about him, we have decided that we will not be making it to final vows. And we will be…”

To which Thomas finished: “Bowing out, gracefully, with love and with the most beautiful man that I would never have asked for anything else in this experience for!

“Thank you everyone for your inputs and outputs and whatever! We’re going to be best friends forever but we’re just not going to be husbands forever, that’s all!”

The contestants – minus Matt Murray, George Roberts and Jonathan Wiseman – then hugged the couple as they supported their decision.

However, after the announcement, the Honesty Box continued where things soon took an explosive turn as George and April Banbury were asked “who is the fakest couple at this table” to which they answered Thomas and Adrian.

Explaining their answer, April said she based it on something Matt had said at the Commitment Ceremony.

To which Adrian retorted: “Yeah, I know, it’s really annoying that. Wasn’t it? It was really annoying when Matt said that. Can I just clear that one up? Actually, actually! Can I just clear that one up?

“If there’s any one person in this world who is going to tell me that I didn’t work my a*s off at this marriage, it most certainly will not be someone who didn’t give his a day.

“So as far as I’m concerned, your feelings do not matter to me and that’s all I have to say on the situation!”

Matt’s partner Whitney Hughes then tried to join in as Thomas said “not interested” with Matt yelling: “Thomas, you’re not interested in f**king nothing but yourself!”

Adrian then stuck up for his estranged husband, adding: “Listen, Alpha! Keep your big balls and sit down. Listen, f**k off! Do not speak to him [Thomas] like that. F**king s****y 1990s energy. F**k off!”

Matt then called Thomas a “joke” to which he retorted: “I know and you’re a massive joke. GI f**king joke!”

Whitney then joined in again, saying: “Adrian, I actually thought you were more articulate than this and more of an intelligent man but clearly you aren’t!”

To which Adrian hit back: “I am articulate! Do you know what, Whitney? Do you know what the tiny little bit that makes me kind of sad is we’ve had so many conversations” to which she brutally pointed out they’d only had two.

Adrian continued: “And what were those conversations concerning, Whitney? You, mate. You know what, f**k off!”

To which Matt exploded again: “Who the f**k are you talking to, lad?” as Adrian continued: “Nah, I don’t want to talk to you, f**k off!”

Matt then accused Adrian of feeling “threatened” as he responded: “Oh hang on, go on then, I’m threatened? You tell me how I’m threatened. Go on then, mate, go on.

“Listen, my relationship has been on the table for everyone to see. If I was faking a relationship, it would have been a good one.”

Whitney then brutally remarked: “Who put b****y 2p in his f**king box?”

To which Adrian hit back: “Do you know what? I have literally respected you so much throughout this whole thing and you show me none. So actually, you’re done!” to which he stormed out yelling: “F**k off Whitney!”

Viewers were quick to react to the scenes as they pointed out that Adrian was “channelling” his estranged husband Thomas, who has been known for his explosive rows on the show.

Taking to Twitter, one person said: “Adrian challenging Thomas energy. #MAFSUK.”

A different account put: “Adrian’s been the most real person on #mafsuk he knew he was leaving tonight so he decided to tell them all what he thought of them!”

Another follower wrote: “Aw no my heart breaks for Adrian #MAFSUK.”

While a different viewer added: “I was NOT expecting for Adrian to storm out of the room this time !! #MAFSUK.”
