Lying Jim Jordan Denies Defying J6 Subpoena
Jim Jordan #JimJordan
Gym’s lips were moving, so the hypocrite denying reality comes as no surprise. After Hunter Biden told House Republicans where they could stick their impeachment circus, and the embarrassing excuse for a press conference by Republicans that followed, they’re all out there working the refs on Fox and other right wing networks, pretending they’ve got some legitimate reason for the upcoming fishing expedition they’re about to embark on.
Jim Jordan made an appearance on Newsmax and was asked by host Eric Bolling to respond to former Rep and January 6th Committee member Adam Kinzinger, who took a shot at Jordan on CNN for being a huge flaming hypocrite and refusing to honor a Congressional subpoena:
KINZINGER: Well, they’re supposed to think that Jim Jordan is an absolute hypocrite. Jim Jordan, in front of the rules committee, when we were talking about holding Steve bannon or somebody in contempt, he said in front of the rules committee that the Department of Justice and the FBI should be the ones investigating Donald Trump, and that would be their role.
Now of course, he’s against the Department of Justice and the FBI investigating Donald Trump. He’s for the, you know, sanctity of the of the subpoena by the US Congress until he is the one that gets subpoenaed by US Congress.
BOLLING: I’ll let you take that, sir.
JORDAN: Well, yeah, I don’t know what he’s talking about on the on the on the first. I have no idea what he’s talking about when he referenced president Trump. Uh, as far as the subpoena, I never said no to the subpoena. I sent a nine page letter where we outlined all our concerns. We wanted to know how it was going to work and the January 6th Committee just dropped it. They didn’t do anything else.
So when they when they subpoenaed me and when they subpoenaed former Speaker McCarthy, um I didn’t say no to that. I just want to know how it was going to operate, and they didn’t do anything. I mean, frankly, why didn’t they hold me in contempt? Because I think they were doing it for political reasons. They just wanted the talking points.
I don’t know why they didn’t hold all of them in contempt either, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t defy the subpoena. He did, and the letter he’s discussing in the clip is still posted on Twitter:
Jordan demanded documents from the committee before complying with the subpoena and wanted the committee to “provide all documents, videos, or other material in the possession of the Select Committee that you potentially anticipate using, introducing, or relying on during questioning,” before he would agree to testify, and was eventually was referred to the House ethics committee for refusing to comply.
Now he wants to rewrite history to justify his blatant hypocrisy.
