LVIS Presenting First-Ever Virtual Silent Auction

Lévis #Lévis

The Ladies’ Village Improvement Society of East Hampton (LVIS), who celebrated their 125th anniversary last year, is auctioning off an array of exciting items and experiences during the LVIS Silent Auction 2021. Bidding commences on Wednesday, May 12 and concludes on Saturday, June 12 – which will also be when LVIS will hold a smaller version of its beloved fair.

“Like everyone, we’re doing our best to adapt and return to the new normal,” Carol Sharks of LVIS said. “For this year’s fair, we’ve scaled back and are having a ‘Mini-Fair’ on June 12th. We’ll have Chances, 125th Anniversary memorabilia, the Plant and Flower Sale and our beautiful 2020 Cookbook with the author Florence Fabricant available to autograph copies.”

The socially distanced mini Fair will be held on the LVIS grounds in East Hampton on Saturday, June 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event will also include children’s baskets and bites from the Harbor Bistro Mobile Kitchen Truck, as well as the chance to peruse the LVIS Shop.

“What is probably the biggest change, is that the much anticipated Silent Auction will take place online for the first time ever,” she noted.

While it may be LVIS’s inaugural online auction, there is an impressing assemblage of offerings available to bid on. “Our most popular items are the golf packages at private clubs, New York Knicks and Giants tickets, and condo stays in places like Aspen and Costa Rica,” she shared. “We have gift certificates for popular local restaurants and markets, house and garden items, beauty and fitness, clothing and accessories. A more complete list of auction items can be found on our auction site.” On the day of the auction’s launch, there will be 79 items available – and more will be added each day.

Since 1895, the organization’s volunteers have dedicated countless hours to maintaining East Hampton’s natural beauty. “The proceeds from our fair and auction fund our efforts to maintain the greens, trees, parks and ponds of East Hampton and provide local scholarships,” Sharks explained.

LVIS is located at 95 Main Street East Hampton. To view the LVIS Silent Auction 2021, visit www.charityauctionstoday.com. For more information about Ladies’ Village Improvement Society of East Hampton, visit lvis.org.
