Littler, 17, had struggled against Soutar as he lost the first two legs.
The teenager managed to get himself back into the running but missed a chance to equal the scores during the 10th leg.
Littler needed 25 to check out and hit five with his first dart leaving him with double 10 to win the set.
However, he missed the target and instead, his dart landed in the 15 and he reacted by throwing his third with a lot of frustration.
The dart failed to stick in the board and left Littler with just five to get as he stormed back to the rear of the area.
The commentator slammed Littler for his antics and called him “petulant” and “daft”.
Littler would go on to have the last laugh as Soutar missed his chance to win.
Littler then hit a one and a double two to win the leg and then ultimately the semi-final 7-6.
