Love Island’s Toby finally apologises to Chloe before she is saved by public vote

Love Island star Toby Aromolaran has finally apologised to Chloe Burrows before she is saved by public vote.
The former pairing in the villa came to a bitter end when Toby decided to put aside their romance to pursue a new one with recent arrival Abigail Rawlings.
In the most recent recoupling, Toby chose Abigail over Chloe, prompting a fuming Hugo Hammond to criticise Toby in front of their fellow islanders before saving Chloe from being dumped from the island.
Despite multiple arguments and cross words, Toby approached Chloe in Sunday night’s episode for a chat in the garden to discuss what happened.

“So, first of all, I’m sorry,” noted Toby in his apology. “Sorry for how I made you feel and I’m sorry about the situation that happened here and I’m sorry about how my head was scrambled and I didn’t know what I was doing.
“I’m sorry that I made you feel that way, I never wanted you to feel that way, and that’s the last thing I wanted to do.
“And then obviously I didn’t tell you how I felt and I’m sorry for that as well.”
He continued: ‘Moving forward, obviously, it’s been me and you, but it’s like everyone as well.”

In response, a calm Chloe admitted that she was “very hurt” by Toby’s behaviour, as she “did really like” him.
She noted that she can now see that they “weren’t right” together and “everyone can see” that he is a good fit for Abigail.
“I just kind of hope you know where you went wrong,” concluded Chloe.
She then wound Toby up by calling him a “p***k” but laughed it off when she made clear she was joking.

They then hugged it out in an attempt to draw a line under the troubled period, with the other islanders applauding the sight.
Later, Chloe pulled former love rival Abigail for a chat too and reassured her that she had no need to feel uncomfortable around her.
“I don’t want you to feel any type of way at all,” said Chloe, noting that she was “cool” with everything.
Chloe added: “I feel like he’s learnt enough here now to treat you fab so you’re in for a right treat.”

Elsewhere, at the encouragement of Aaron, Hugo broached the prospect of a more romantic union with Chloe but was knocked back as she chose to keep things platonic with the pair of them and not risk their friendship.
Finally, Toby and Abigail took a step forward in their relationship and shared a kiss. Will it be third-time lucky for Toby?
