Love Island’s Tasha leaves viewers crying as she shares Andrew’s sweet gesture
Tasha #Tasha
Tasha Ghouri left viewers in tears after she revealed during her moving final Love Island speech to boyfriend Andrew Le Page that he removes her cochlear implant for her each night.
Tasha, 23, is the first deaf contestant to have headed into the villa, and went on to be applauded for bravely sharing her “superpower” with her fellow Islanders.
The blonde beauty wears a hearing implant, and doting boyfriend Andrew, 27, removes it for her before she heads off to sleep.
She said in her speech: “Walking into this villa, I had no expectations but hoped to meet my love – my first love. I’ve never left this way before. You are everything I asked for.

“What I love about you is your ambition, dedication, the way you care for others, your sexy body. There’s not a single thing I’d change about you. I’m so lucky to have you.”
Tasha went on: “Thank you for accepting me for me and loving my superpower. The fact that when I fall asleep you take my cochlear implant out for me – that’s when I know you’re the one.”
Gushing over the pair on social media following Tasha’s speech, one viewer wrote: “TASHA’S SPEECH??!! [crying face emojis] Andrew takes out her cochlear for her at night?!?!”

“when tasha said andrew takes out her cochlear implant before bed i could not hold back the tears,” wrote another.
Andrew also left viewers in tears last week on the day they were all tasked with taking care of a baby for the day, where he told their ‘child’ about her “superpower”.
Walking with the baby over to the firepit, Andrew explained: “Your mum told me about her superpower, her superpower being that she has an implant which makes her be able to hear, which is very, very special. Very, very brave. And she, with this implant, can hear…”

Tasha has been open and honest about her condition since her first days in the villa, where pulled her fellow Islanders aside to tell them about it.
She told them: “Basically, I was born completely deaf… and I wear a cochlear implant in my right ear.”
“It doesn’t define me, it’s just a part of who I am,” she continued. “It’s my superpower.”
Speaking in the Beach Hut afterwards, Tasha said: “I felt like it was the perfect opportunity to get everyone together and be like, ‘This is me, this is who I am’.”
