Love Island’s Ron leaves fans confused with Lana remark while discussing future

Love Island fans were left confused during Monday’s final as Ron Hall discussed his future with Lana Jenkins.

The couple, whose romance started off rocky in the ITV2 villa before going from strength-to-strength, finished in second place during the last instalment of the winter 2023 series – with Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan crowned the winners.

Prior to the results being revealed, host Maya Jama – who fans were left worried for during the windy weather, sat down with each couple to discuss their time in the villa and being in the final.

Grilling Ron and Lana about their future, Maya said: “So, what’s the next step then. Ron, you moving up north?”

To which Ron quickly replied: “Not yet, we’ll have our own bases… we’ve spoken about it” with Lana adding: “We’re going to spend a lot of time together, aren’t we?”

However, it was Ron’s next remark that left fans confused as he admitted: “I want to miss her for a bit, I want to miss her!”

To which Lana added of being apart: “We’ll change our minds in a few days!”

Taking to Twitter, viewers were left confused about Ron wanting to miss Lana “for a bit”.

Host Maya Jama grilled the couple about their future

One person said: “‘I want to miss her’ Ron??? #loveisland” with crying emojis.

A different account put: “Ron “I wanna miss her for abit” erm excuse me? #loveisland.”

Another follower wrote: “Did Ron just say I wanna miss her. Haaaaa!!! #loveisland.”

A different viewer asked: “I wanna miss her for a bit? What does that mean Ron #loveisland.”

Elsewhere, before being announced as the winners, Sanam sweetly dropped the L-bomb, revealing that she was in love with Kai – leaving Maya, as well as fans at home, giddy with excitement.

Sanam said: “For me, it was always Kai, I always said he was my number one.

“Obviously he’s a very attractive guy, but apart from the looks, I fell in love with…” to which she screamed and covered her mouth over dropping the L-bomb, leaving the live audience also screaming in excitement.
