Love Island’s Ella breaks down as ITV viewers rage over ‘unfair’ and ‘nasty’ twist

ITV viewers are far from impressed with Love Island bosses who asked fans to vote for their favourite couple just moments after Ella and Tyrique had an argument.

When Ella B entered the villa, Tyrique told her that he was sad they had their last kiss before the series began.

Ella didn’t find out about his remarks until she had a moment with Ella B on Sunday’s show, and she confronted Tyrique.

He claimed Ella couldn’t trust him and he stormed off from Ella, leaving her emotional.

Tyrique told the boys that he was planning on telling Ella he was in love with her but following their argument, he was ready to give up.

Viewers were left angry as the episode ended with both Ella and Tyrique emotional as bosses then asked fans to vote for their favourite couple.

zoehannahgrace_ begged: “Don’t let ty and ella be in the bottom because of this… the producers are setting them up #LoveIsland.”

@Luhw0p added: “Opening the voting after ending the show with an Ella and Tyrique argument. Nahhh these producers are nastier than I expected #LoveIsland.”

“Why did they open the voting lines when Ella and Ty just had an argument? It’s so unfair to them #LoveIsland,” asked @su_gar2000.

Other viewers simply thought the argument showed Tyrique and Ella won’t work on the outside.

@TommyLingBih tweeted: “Yeaaah Ella and Ty won’t work on the outside like this if they continue.

“The minute you start disrespecting each other and telling each other to shut up etc, it wont’t worl #LoveIsland.”

@hbpencils_ posted: “I actually want Ty and Ella to break up cause she will get her heart broken by him on the outside if they don’t #loveisland.”

@Deanceejay13 wrote: “Ella and ty gonna need bunk beds when they live together.. argue too much #LoveIsland.”

Narrator Iain Stirling warned fans they wouldn’t learn the results of the public vote until Tuesday evening’s show.

Will Tyrique and Ella be able to work through their issues before the viewers decide their fate?

Love Island airs weeknights on ITV2 at 9pm.
