Getting the gossip: Tanya was telling Tom about Shaq while he was sat with Samie causing her to walk off
He explained: ‘When someone that you’re seeing and supposed to be in love with says that little things in you remind them of their ex, that for me is such a huge statement to say.
‘I’m not going to go into something with someone that thinks I have negative similarities to an ex.’
Tom reassured Shaq by saying: ‘You will work things out.’
Shaq continued: ‘At this point, the way I feel about the situation, I need to sleep on it and think about it.’

It comes after Shaq angrily confronted Ron Hall, 25, for not helping to clean up in the kitchen, prompting financial advisor Ron to confront Shaq over his behaviour the following day.
All the lads cook their ladies a three course meal, with Shaq then leading the boys in washing the dishes and tidying away afterwards.
However, Ron was nowhere to be seen and instead enjoyed a chat with the girls by the firepit.
The next day, after Ron confronted Shaq, Tanya and Lana Jenkins, 25, also wanted to talk about the night before.
Not happy: Tanya was left fuming with partner Shaq during Friday night’s episode as tensions simmered over during a row between the couple
As they discussed Shaq calling Ron over to help with the washing up, Tanya said: ‘It was rude, he’s a grown man, he heard you the first time.’
Lana added: ‘It didn’t sit right and I felt like it wasn’t about the kitchen.’
Tanya later confessed to the girls that Shaq has been ‘giving her the ick’, as she opened up on a girls’ day out.
After returning to the villa, Tanya later called Shaq for a chat as the Islanders enjoyed their evening together in the villa.
Shaq said: ‘I wanted to speak to you about when you and Lana spoke to me, with that situation, I’ll be honest, I really didn’t like it. It felt like I was being told off.’
Tanya replied: ‘Babe, no-one is coming to you like a child, I don’t know why you’re taking it like that.’
Shaq said: ‘The way it was handled, I don’t like it and I don’t expect you of all people to put me in that situation.’
Tanya said: ‘I understand, but for that specific situation that’s how I would have handled it and if I had to go back I would do it the same.’
Fuming: During Sunday night’s episode of Love Island, Shaq debriefed with Tom about Tanya comparing him to an ex boyfriend
Getting increasingly frustrated, Shaq protested: ‘I’m telling you now, don’t ever put me in a situation where it’s you and someone else trying to tell me off. Don’t do that.’
Interrupting him, Tanya said: ‘You see how you’re saying, ‘Tell you off?’ I wasn’t telling you off.
‘I just told you how it looked because if I feel like something’s wrong, I’m going to tell you and I felt like that was wrong. That’s it.’
Tayna added: ‘I feel like now I’m seeing the little bits of you I don’t like. There’s certain things that you do really remind me of my ex.’
‘That doesn’t sit right with me,’ responded Shaq, before asking: ‘What does that mean? That we could potentially go down that route?’
Tanya continued: ‘And those are the things that ended up getting to me.’
