Love Island USA winners Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew have sadly split just three months after winning the dating series.

Justine, 27, made the shocking announcement in the early hours of Sunday morning in a statement shared on social media.

It began: ‘It’s truly a strange feeling to be typing this out but I understand my reality is now having to share some aspects of my life with you all regardless of how private I’d like to remain at times.

‘This is extremely difficult for me to express but out of respect for those of you who supported me, and rode for me, I want you to know that Caleb and I are no longer together.

‘I do ask for time as I continue to go through the process of heartbreak and healing as this has all been very hard for me. I cannot thank you all enough for the love and support to this point and I hope that it may continue as we move forward as individuals.’

Caleb, 24, is yet to speak out about the break-up.

However, Justine’s bestie and Love Island USA co-star Cely Vazquez – who split from Johnny Middlebrooks last week – tweeted a message of support for her pal, writing: ‘We all know Justine is going to thrive at the end of the day I’ve said it once & I’ll say it again, she is an angel walking this earth.

‘God has her best interest at heart & I just can’t wait to see the big things my BFF is about to do that’s where I find peace in this.’

Fans will be devastated by the news after Justine and Caleb made history as the first Black couple to win Love Island USA and the Love Island franchise overall.

They were crowned winners in September and Caleb went on to meet Justine’s family when he visited New Jersey shortly after.

However, fans had speculated whether the couple were still together as they have not been seen together in months.

In November, Justine and Caleb explained to Metro.co.uk why they were taking their relationship slow and said: ‘We’re definitely still just taking it day by day but we’re doing good. We’re working really hard towards keeping the communication going and making plans to see each other, which is really good.

‘We’re planning all these fun trips back and forth for a while and we’ve got some great trips in the book.’

The news comes just a week after Cely and Johnny announced their split after finishing as runners-up in the latest season of Love Island USA.

Announcing their break-up, Cely told her social media followers: ‘Because you’ve all been such a close part of our relationship, I wanted to share with you that Johnny and I are no longer together.

‘While our relationship has been public from the start, I do ask that you respect this decision and our privacy during this time. There is no reason to speculate, I am so thankful for our time together, but now it’s simply time for each of us to focus on our own personal journey.’

She added: ‘I hope that you continue to support each of us individually as we move forward, heal and continue to follow our dreams.’
