Love Island fans praise Jessie’s ‘classy’ reaction to Layla after Will betrayal

Fans of ITV’s Love Island have praised Jessie Wynter’s “classy” response to finding out Will Young kissed bombshell Layla Al-Momani in Casa Amor.

Fans were shocked earlier in the week when TikTok farmer Will kissed Layla despite being incredibly stable with Jessie before her exit to Casa Amor.

During Thursday night’s explosive recoupling, which also saw Olivia Hawkins and Kai Fagan bicker, Jessie finally found out about the kiss, with Will admitting to feeling like a horrible person.

As host Maya Jama turned to Will, he admitted to being a broken man whether “Jessie walks in with another boy” or “I have to explain what I did on the first night”, referencing the infamous kiss on the terrace.

“It’s been difficult, I’m not going to lie,” he told host Maya when she asked how the experience has been without Jessie. “I have let myself down, and I hope I haven’t let Jessie down, to be quite honest.”

Will then confirmed that he was choosing to stay loyal to Jessie, well, as loyal as he could be at that point, with Layla looking visibly upset by the admission.

Jessie soon emerged from the villa without a man, confirming that she wanted to stay with Will, which prompted the social media star to say: “I can’t breath, I’m not going to lie.”

After saying that she knew she could “trust” Will, Maya threw a spanner in the works when she asked Will whether he’d stayed loyal.

But while most people were expecting Jessie to get angry upon learning the truth, much like her co-star Olivia Hawkins, she seemed relatively calm.

“I hope you’re okay Will,” Jessie told him, which earnt a confused look from Layla. “You don’t need to be sorry, it’s fine.”

“I really didn’t think you would’ve done that,” she then added before apologising to Layla for having to get in the middle and calling her a “gorgeous girl.”

Fans of the show have applauded the Australian for her attitude toward Layla; after all, it wasn’t the bombshell that technically did the cheating.

Reacting to the clip online, one fan wrote: “Jessie apologizing AND complimenting Layla. A classy queen. #loveisland.”

“Just when you think you can’t love Jessie anymore she goes and comforts Layla,” another said, while a third added, “Jessie that was classy even Layla had to hold her tongue #loveisland.”
