Claudia Fogarty stumbled over her words when discussing her Love Island villa ex Casey O’Gorman, accidentally slipping out the L-word… and fans are stunned to say the least.

The past few days have been extremely hard for Claudia, after the arrival of new bombshell Rosie Seabrook.

Casey immediately struck up a connection with Rosie, before deciding that he had stronger feelings for the newcomer than Claudia.

On Wednesday night’s episode of the ITV2 series, Casey and Rosie shared their first kiss on the terrace, before being spotted kissing in bed, shortly after Rosie also turned down fellow bombshell Keanan Brand’s advances.

While Casey was advised not to tell Claudia about his kiss with Rosie, she later heard the news from Keanan, and was utterly mind-boggled by the revelation.

Claudia explained to Keanan why her situation with Casey was different to his with Rosie, as she had a stronger connection with him, stating: ‘I’m the girl that loves… not loves, oh my god!’

The pair laughed over Claudia’s fumble, but the slip-up didn’t go unnoticed by viewers.

‘Loves?? Claudia my love,’ one flabbergasted viewer tweeted.

‘“The girl that loves him” Claudia is dizzy,’ another wrote, while someone else said: ‘Claudia wasn’t even making a mistake when she said “I’m the girl who loves…”’ suspecting that Claudia’s feelings may be stronger than she’s letting on.

Shortly afterwards, a fuming Claudia confronted Casey over why he told others about his kiss with Rosie, but not her.

Samie Elishi explained to Claudia that Casey had asked for her advice on whether to tell Claudia or not, and she had suggested that he shouldn’t, as it could just cause further upset.

More: Love Island

Claudia and Casey’s blow-up isn’t the only drama tonight, as host Maya Jama is back in South Africa.

That, of course, only means one thing – another elimination is on its way after a public vote. So who will be sent home, and who will remain safe until the final later this month?

Love Island returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
