Love Island fans back Tanya as Shaq fumes over kissing challenge: ‘Is he for real?’

Love Island fans are backing Tanya Manhenga’s decisions after her kissing the lads during a challenge resulted in her boyfriend, Shaq Muhammad, raging.

Thursday night’s episode saw the contestants line up for the time-honoured kissing challenge, which saw the girls rated for their snogging skills.

Tanya, 22, blew the competition away and arose victorious after multiple guys gave her top marks.

While the girls seemed to revel in Tanya’s victory, her current boyfriend Shaq took issue with the situation after the couple previously exchanged the infamous L-word.

Things came to a climax in the final few minutes of the show as Shaq scathed: “I don’t care if it was a challenge, there’s a way to go about it that’s respectful and she ain’t respectful.

“I aint chatting to her bro. She can chat to me all she wants but I’m not chatting to her.”

“I’m gonna tell her about herself,” he added, which sparked some confusion with fans.

Later, while chatting with Tom Clare and Ron Hall, Shaq continued to stress about the kisses and said: “She literally said she loves me the other day and then she goes and does that.”

Reacting to the tense moment, one fan wrote: “‘I’m gonna tell her about herself’ sorry is Shaq okay???”

Replying to a previous tweet of theirs praising Shaq, another user added: “This tweet of mine aging well – Shaq getting annoyed at Tania for doing the challenge and being a good kisser isn’t a good look.

“What’s she supposed to do, kiss the boys with teeth just so they rate her a 2/10.”

“Double standards from shaq about the kissing and I hope Tanya puts him in his place and he better learn from it,” a third wrote, as a fourth countered, “I low key hear what Shaq is saying. Imagine all the mandem being able to confirm your girl is a good kisser.”

“Sorry did Shaq not kiss every single girl in that challenge as well or am I stupid,” someone else pointed out.

Ironically, just a day before, fans of the show loved Shaq after he berated Ron over his treatment of Lana Jenkins following a similar rant he aimed at Tom the day before.

“You haven’t bro, you haven’t said that once. I don’t agree with how you’ve treated her. I think what you say and what you do are two completely different things,” Shaq scathed.

He continued: “You said that Lana is your number one priority but you’ve treated that girl, at any point, as anything but your priority.

“I have always treated her as my number one priority,” Ron hit back, to which Shaq responded, “You haven’t bro.”

“It’s like you’re waiting for someone to come in that’s better than Lana,” added TikTok farmer Will Young, who is currently very smitten with Australian contestant Jessie Wynter.

Reacting to the moment, one fan wrote on social media: “Shaq is the first and only man I’ve ever seen on this show regularly and consistently call out other men for their toxic or misogynist behaviour towards women. the women in his life did good #LoveIsland.”

Another person wrote: “I don’t even care how fast Shaq has fallen. If he keeps holding these boys accountable he and Tanya can even get engaged next week #loveisland.”
