Fire warning
All persons, including participants in the forest tour Saturday, are reminded by District Forest Ranger, B.M. Stout to exercise extreme care with fire while in the woods. The hazard in the Manistee district is increasing, Stout reports, and it is hoped visitors as well as Manisteeans will be careful with cigarettes, matches and other forms of fire while using the woodland areas whether on picnics or camping.
