How We Teach
Wreaths Across America’s mission touches the lives of thousands of schools, scout, civic and religious groups across the country through fundraising for wreath sponsorships. These groups ensure that the goal to place a wreath on each hero’s grave is reached. In return, the groups receive fundraising dollars that assist in furthering their own goals and projects.
On Dec. 17, 2022 at 9 a.m., Redwood Valley/Calpella and Ukiah 4-H Clubs (CA0074P) will be helping Russian River Cemetery District to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying 1800 Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes.
Please help them honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.
Please help the Redwood Valley/Calpella and Ukiah 4-H Clubs honor local heroes! Remember, Honor, and Teach by sponsoring a wreath to be placed on a veteran’s grave this December at Russian River Cemetery District.
Wreath Sponsorship…

What does it mean to sponsor a wreath? It means you’ll honor an American hero at one of thousands of locations nationwide this year on Wreaths Across America Day. It’s a day that’s been set aside to lay wreaths at the places where we remember, honor and teach about our veterans: cemeteries, monuments, parks… Anywhere we can pay tribute to their sacrifices.
They can’t do that without your support, though. Your sponsorship will ensure that a wreath is hand-crafted of all-American balsam and hand-tied with a red velvet bow here in Columbia Falls, Maine. It will then be sent to one of our participating locations, where a volunteer will place it on the marker of a fallen hero. That volunteer will then “say their name” to ensure that the legacy of duty, service and sacrifice of that veteran is never forgotten.
So, what does it mean to sponsor a wreath? It means you have the opportunity to join a grateful nation in saying “thank you” to our veterans.
The goal is 1,800 wreaths for this Cemetery.
