Julie Ertz is back on the U.S. Women’s National Team for the April international window.
Ertz was officially put on the roster on Tuesday for the first time since 2021. She’ll have a chance of accompanying the U.S. to the FIFA Women’s World Cup later this year in Australia and New Zealand.
The last match she played in was in August of 2021, which was the Olympic Bronze Medal match.
The U.S. will be taking on the Republic of Ireland in a couple of friendlies as a tuneup to the World Cup.
Fans are excited to see Ertz back where she belongs.
“Julie Ertz is flying in on angel wings my goodness,” another tweet read.
“JULIE ERTZ. THAT’S THE TWEET,” another fan tweeted.
The first friendly against Ireland will be on Apr. 8 and the second one will take place on Apr. 11.
