Look: Heated Moment On “First Take” Is Going Viral
First Take #FirstTake
SiriusXM Presents A Town Hall With MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred
Chris Russo and Stephen A. Smith got into it again during Wednesday’s edition of First Take.
Russo was asked if it was a bad look that Jimmy Butler sat out Game 5 of the Hawks-Heat series and he confirmed that it was. After that, Smith made a face and screamed “WHAT?” before they got into it.
“Oh god, yes,” Russo said. “He was running around like a gazelle on Sunday night. He took the last-second shot there in Game 3, and he played very well. If the series was 2-2, would he have played? Of course, he would’ve played. If he was down 1-3, he would’ve played. This is a playoff game. I was shocked that he did not play yesterday.”
Russo then brought up Larry Bird before Smith interrupted him to scream at him and then it all broke loose. Russo started to scream “LOOK AT BIRD” a few times during the segment as a way of showing him playing through pain.
Butler had to miss Game 5 due to right knee inflammation and it didn’t matter. The Heat eliminated the Hawks in five games to advance to the second round of the NBA playoffs.
It’s highly likely he’ll be ready to go for that next series, regardless of who its against.
